Mary Beth Sullivan

Mary Beth is a founding partner of Capital Performance Group LLC, a management consulting firm that provides advice, research, analysis, and project management services to the financial services industry. She has 25 years of experience in financial services, both as a practitioner and an advisor to senior managers and directors. CPG specializes in designing and implementing strategies for growth and improved profitability for banks, thrifts, specialized financial services companies, and companies with a stake in the industry.

Prior to forming CPG, Mary Beth was the Senior Managing Director at Furash & Company, Inc. and held a number of management positions at Chemical Banking Corporation in New York.

Mary Beth is a frequent speaker on topics such as strategy, competition, and best practices in U.S. financial services companies. She has a degree in Finance from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Claude A. Hanley

Claude Hanley is a founding partner and leads CPG’s Financial Management and Regulatory Practice areas.

Claude has been a management consultant to the financial services industry for more than thirty years. Prior to joining CPG, Claude was a Managing Director at Furash & Company, where he led the firm’s regulatory policy and M&A advisory teams.

He is a frequent contributor to leading industry trade publications including the RMA Journal and the American Banker and he has written on such topics as the appropriate role of the finance group in today’s bank, process redesign, keys to effective strategic planning, the viability of de novo banking, and competitive trends in the financial services industry. Claude is frequently quoted in the financial services press and has served on the faculty of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Claude received his B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Accountancy from George Washington University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mary Ellen Georgas-Tellefsen

Mary Ellen joins CPG as a Managing Director and re-engages in a 20-year financial services career after a 7-year hiatus as a small business owner. In addition to her experience as a small business owner, Mary Ellen brings a wealth and depth of experience in the financial services industry to the firm. Her industry experience in commercial banking and digital delivery includes strategic planning, online banking, product management, marketing, and treasury services. She will bring valuable advisory services and project management skills to CPG clients.

Mary Ellen was a senior executive at Scient and JPMorgan Chase, and has held positions at Furash & Company and MasterCard. Mary Ellen has a BA in Economics and Political Science from University of Richmond and an MBA in Marketing from NYU Stern.
